GDPR & CCPA
Last updated: 2026-07-05
This page explains your rights under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (CCPA). It works alongside our Privacy Policy.
Your rights under GDPR (Europe and UK)
If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
- Erase your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restrict or object to how we process it, including for advertising.
- Data portability, where it applies.
- Withdraw consent at any time, for example by changing your cookie choices.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Our legal bases are your consent (for non-essential cookies and personalized ads), and our legitimate interest in running and securing the site.
Your rights under CCPA/CPRA (California)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information is collected and how it is used.
- Request deletion of your personal information.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, using advertising cookies can count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You can opt out by rejecting non-essential cookies in our banner, using the ad opt-out links in our Cookie Policy, or enabling a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser, which we honor.
How to exercise your rights
Email hello@maketoolz.com with your request and the country or state you are in. We will verify and respond within the time the law allows (generally one month under GDPR, 45 days under CCPA). Because we store very little personal data, most requests are quick to handle.
